Just a quick update, while I work on the whole birth story thing...We have people over watching the Eag.les game!
- Ceci.lia weighed 6lbs, 7oz at birth and is 19 inches long.
- Her apgar score was 9 and 9!
- I can’t believe how much I want to hold her.
- I was given pitocin to start labor, and was able to go without an epidural until they broke my water – after that, the pain was just too much! Labor lasted about 11 hours, but unbelievably, I only pushed for 20 min.
- I’m feeling fine, just rather sore – I tore inside and have some stiches. Thank goodness she was tiny!
- DH is being fantastic and extremely helpful.
- I know my poor daughter is going to hear people sing that Simon and Garfunk.el song every time she tells people her name :)

Yes...but it's such a great song! Everything sounds just great...I can't believe you already have people over to watch the Eagles game...you're a better woman than I! Oh, and go Giants!
congrats!!!!
I don't actually know the song you are referring to, so you won't hear it from me, LOL!
I love the name - beautiful!!!
Cecilia was on our short list. I just love that name. Congrats again
Hooray, Cecelia! Congrats!
CONGRATS!! Checking in after disappearing. Welcome Ceclia! I'm so glad everything went well for you! Wonderful!!
i suspect that saying 'my daughter' is just as unusual and wonderful as saying 'my husband' - but neither equal the words 'our daughter'
20 MINUTES? I'm SO .... I don't know what. You were so so so lucky! I'm still having a hard time letting others hold Luke, even my husband. I don't ever want to let him go. Can you believe how much you can love another person?
Congratulations Carrie!!!
I can't wait to hear more!
Cecelia is a beautiful name.
